DMOTIV BV respects your privacy and is committed to the discrete and secure processing of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What data do we collect?
We collect and process the following personal data when you use our website, fill out our digital forms, or communicate with our virtual assistant (Digital Advisory AI chat):
- Identification data: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Technical data: IP address and browsing behavior via necessary, functional, and analytical cookies.
- Vehicle and file data (for purchase or sourcing requests): VIN (chassis number), license plate, photos of the vehicle, and scans of official vehicle documents.

2. Purposes and legal basis for processing
We process your data based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures: To respond to your requests, appraise vehicles, initiate sourcing/acquisition services, and prepare official sales files for automotive masterpieces.
- Legitimate interest: To optimize website functionality and language detection, and to ensure the fundamental security of our platform.

3. Google Gemini API & Artificial Intelligence Clause
Our website utilizes an advanced digital assistant powered by the Google Gemini API (Digital Advisory). When you interact with our assistant, the chat messages you enter are transmitted in real-time via a secure proxy connection to Google's servers for processing.
- Important: We exclusively use the enterprise-grade Google Cloud API environment. This contractually guarantees that your entered data and chat messages are treated with strict confidentiality and are **not** used by Google to train their public AI models.
- For your own privacy, do not enter strictly confidential information (such as banking details or personal documents) within the chat window before our Bespoke Advisory department initiates official, secured follow-up communication.

4. Hosting, Cloudflare & Data Transfer
Our website and database are securely hosted within the European Union on servers provided by TransIP (Netherlands). To actively protect our platform against cyber threats (such as DDoS attacks), block malicious bot traffic, and optimize loading speeds globally, we fundamentally rely on the services of Cloudflare. In this context, your network traffic is routed in an encrypted format through Cloudflare's European nodes, where technical metadata (such as your IP address) is necessarily processed to ensure infrastructure security and uptime.

5. Retention Period
DMOTIV maintains a strict privacy retention policy. Personal data and chat transcripts collected via the website that do not lead to a final agreement or an active acquisition file will be automatically and permanently deleted after six (6) months from our active databases.

6. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access, correct, or erase your data, or restrict its processing. To do so, you can contact us at privacy@dmotiv.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA).
